Graduated from Oxford University and Cornell University, Peter Yuen is the partner of Peter Yuen & Associates (in association with Fangda Partners). Peter once was a partner of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer where he was responsible for the firm’s China related dispute resolution practice.

Peter’s practice spans a number of areas including international and regional arbitration, having acted for clients in a number of high profile China related commercial arbitrations, and complex commercial litigation. Peter is experienced in acting as coordinating counsel in cross-border multi-jurisdictional disputes, particularly in matters involving court proceedings in China. He has also established a busy practice in the area of regulatory and corporate compliance, and has conducted a considerable number of corporate internal investigations in Hong Kong and China. Peter is also a panel arbitrator of the Beijing Arbitration Commission and the Shanghai International Arbitration Centre. He was a teaching fellow at Cornell University, a visiting lecturer of Beijing University and part-time lecturer of University of Hong Kong.

Peter has been ranked as a Leading Individual for International Arbitration in Chambers Asia since 2010. Peter has been recognised in the Global Arbitration Review Who’s Who since 2010. Peter publishes regularly in a number of leading arbitration and dispute resolution journals. He is also a contributing editor of the Hong Kong White Book and he has recently co-authored “The International Investigations Review”. He regularly publishes articles in a number of leading arbitration and dispute resolution journals.
