On July 28, 2021, the seminar- “implemention of data security law” hosted by LGC was held in Beijing as scheduled. General counsels from more than 30 companies such as Baidu, ByteDance, Lenovo, Xiaomi, 360, PayPal, Schneider Electric, Dachang, Midea Group, etc., participated in the seminar on site or online.
First, Ms. Angel Yingjun Wang, founder of LGC introduced the keynote speaker of the seminar to the guests:
LGC specially invited Mr. Wei Kai, deputy director of cloud computing and big data Research Institute of China Academy of information and communication, as the keynote speaker of this Seminar. Mr. Wei also served as the leader of the 16th research domestic counterpart group of the International Telecommunication Union, the vice chairman of the distributed ledger standard group of the International Telecommunication Union, and the executive vice chairman of tc601 big data technical standard Promotion Committee.
Mr. Wei elaborated in detail on how to establish a data security management system, the challenges faced by data elementalization, the main contents of the data security law and how to implement data security governance, and put forward solutions that companies can refer to.
After Mr. Wei’s sharing, the guests enthusiastically spoke and asked questions on the topics of data exit, data compliance and other issues, and received one by one answers from Mr. Wei
After the Seminar, the guests still had a heated discussion with each other and it was also very active online.
